About yesterday's show and potentially switching show times

On yesterday’s impromptu show an astute viewer said that I should be a model or fashion designer. This struck me as funny so I tweeted, “I should be a model or fashion designer, come see why.”  Most people then clicked on the link and saw me looking like the fashion plate that I am as captured in the photo above and it was funny and then we all laughed and lived happily ever after. Some people though clicked on the link after I’d already removed the frippery and wanted to have a serious discussion about fashion design. One person came in and asked if I thought I was sexy. “Eh,” I said, lying through my perfect teeth. I was then informed that without higher self-esteem I would never make it as a model. Crushed, I turned to hard drugs and wanton sex.

But overall, except for the parts where I had to read some people the riot act, the show was super fun and had the highest number of viewers ever. At points we were over 800 simultaneous viewers. And according to multiple sources, or maybe it was just my mom who said it a bunch of times, my numbers were double that of Kevin Pollack whose show is amazing and who was featured on the front page the whole time. I don’t quite know what to make of the influx of viewers except to say that obviously the people want sexy discussions of fashion design and also Facts of Life quizzes.

But what I’m realizing is that doing my regular weekly show at Wednesday 10pm ET isn’t serving any of us very well anymore and I’m thinking quite a bit about moving it to Sunday afternoon. This would be easier on me, my guests and apparently all of you who want to watch the show. Thoughts? Would Sunday afternoon work for all of you?

Hmmmm, Sunday afternoon, Ali Ro? That’s gonna be gettin in the way of some serious football, when the late Summer / early Fall rolls around, hun… Then again, we still have a bit of time before Football season…

How’bout having the show an hour or two earlier on Wednesday, at like 9PM eastern?

Oh, what the heck do I know?? I usually don’t do crap after work during the week (and only party on the weekends), so I’m cool with whatever you decide.

Oh yeah, and I promise I’ll make another donation to your show, once you get “ARIYNBF” coffee mugs!!! 😛

Hi Ali-Ro! Sunday afternoon works for me. Great picture by the way, why would anyone even question the sexiness of that photo?

Sunday afternoon is understandable. The only thing I could see for me personally is sometimes Sunday afternoon is family time. Normally when we visit my wife’s parent’s (across town) it is on Sunday afternoon. But hey that’s just 1 out of 800. I can see a much larger potential for viewers at that time though, and of course yesterday help prove that.

Alison: Sunday afternoons would probably work well. A lot of people are probably like me and love ARIYNBF but have a tough time staying up ’til midnight or later on a work/school night. I know you have to accomodate your west coast fans, too, so if you did the show earlier on a WEEKNIGHT, that might not work either. Sunday’s probably a good day.

At least until football season starts. ‘Cause when that happens, your ass is getting dropped.

Leo’s show is 11A-2P PST Sat Sun, kick his butt off front page.

My only concern is Sunday football this coming august. I’ll be very conflicted. I cannot bail on watching the bears. So I’d have to watch the shows pre-recorded. Which is no where near as fun for the viewer.

But if it works best for the show, then that is the right time slot.

As I was introduced to you by a mutule friend “Olivia Wilder” the fun did not stop! By seening your funny and silly antics… I know when you did your “cinco de Mayo” had to relieve myself from all that laughing! (T.M.I. to much info). But this is what made it so funny, I did not want to mis anything from your show!
What ever the day may land, I hope to make it a point to see it!
It was a lot of fun to play seeing it on Sunday; one can reflect it as a good ending of a fun Weekend.

Sunday is ok with me… but come September…. football season starts! You better buy shoulder pads then

Sunday works, Jenna does standup once a month on Wednesday nights, so I usually miss a show to see her.

Football would be a concern, but not for a while (maybe you’ll be itching for a new change then). I still think we should have a sprinkle of ARIYNBF throughout the week, maybe earlier and for only a hour or half hour.

As someone who was there, Sunday, however, I watched the viewership go from a party of me to well over 300 people and then, seemingly out of nowhere, the numbers shot right up to 800 and stayed that wasy for well over an hour.

As for my opinion, do whatever it takes to sell out of all your merch. We all just want to see you owning your own ARIYNBF Gulf Stream V as soon as possible… one button at a time if need be!

It would be nice, wouldn’t it, to have some sort of Nielson style ratings that explained where these viewers came from and such.

What’s with all the football comments? Prioritize people! Alison’s show is much better than football; but then that’s coming from a non-sports fan with a DVR.

Mamãe eu quero, mamãe eu quero
    Mamãe eu quero mamar!
Dá a chupeta, ai, dá a chupeta
Dá a chupeta pro bebê não chorar!

    Dorme filhinho do meu coração
Pega a mamadeira e vem entra no meu cordão
Eu tenho uma irmã que se chama Ana
De piscar o olho já ficou sem a pestana

Eu olho as pequenas, mas daquele jeito
E tenho muita pena não ser criança de peito
Eu tenho uma irmã que é fenomenal
