Beef Stroganoff, Miss Sue from Alabama, Saturday Morning Cartoons

Remember those elementary school hand clapping rhymes like “Miss Sue from Alabama” and “Miss Susie” and “Ink-a-Dink?” How did they spread and how did we all know them? This is one of the many things we discuss on this episode. We also take your questions and delve into favorite cartoons (David Huntsberger loved Mr. Magoo), imaginary friends, cereal, Rent Live and so much more.

Jordan’s Popcorn Suitcase, Alison’s Underwear, Daniel’s Public Access Show

Jordan Morris joins us fresh from SF Sketchfest where he actually unpacked his suitcase instead of his usual “grazing.” Also he bought underwear at Walmart. Speaking of underwear, Alison left hers drying in the bathroom and a podcast guest used that bathroom and now she wants to die. And Daniel is not only “disrupting” pizzas and quesadillas with his cheese innovation but he once nearly had a public access show. Plus so much more including Just Me Or Everyone, futons, deli sandwiches and an important question about what exactly poses a threat to pies cooling in the windowsill.

Alie Ward is back and she made a big batch of kombucha she’s afraid to drink and also afraid to throw out. Daniel is still denying his very apparent feelings for Marie Kondo. Alison took a Lyft that smelled like poo and tweeted about it but then Lyft wanted more info and she didn’t want to get Mr. Stinky Pants in trouble. Plus updates on the amniotic fluid, news bloopers, Rachel Bloom, praying manti, Alison’s bra and so much more.

A Great Vacation, Awful Teachers, Daniel’s College Roommate

We’ve returned from an amazing Hawaiian vacation rounded by some harrowing flights. Daniel’s college roommate, author Dan DeWeese, is here to tell us what Daniel was like way back when and grow uncomfortable at the attention Daniel lavishes upon his innovative napping form. Also we talk about whether learning rules for storytelling (which they learned in film school) is a help or a hindrance. Plus things teachers have said to us that have negatively impacted us, “Island Dan,” Puka dogs, Thanksgiving recaps, Topic Sombrero (how to overcome fear of rejection) and so much more.

The Game of Seduction, Anchovy Whispers, Spelling Bees

When did everyone start saying “janky” and what does it mean exactly? Also does the friend zone exist? And guess which member of the Thursday gang is secretly a spelling bee star? Plus Topic Sombrero, a conversation that may or may not have happened and so much more including a round of Just Me Or Everyone. I am on vacation right now and writing this in a hotel room and I fear this show description doesn’t accurately reflect how fun this episode really was.
