ARIYNBF 111 with Hungry Girl AKA Lisa Lillien

Two Girls, One Sombrero

Lila Lillien, AKA Hungry Girl (“foodologist”, bestselling author and Food Network show host) stops by this episode of Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend to talk about recipe development, sending foods to a lab to double check calorie counts, tofu noodles, how she went from from being a media executive to running her own business, iCarly, ducks on a date, hair straightening, one night stands, relationships and escalators among other things. I’m just going to say this right now: I think I come off as extra nutty and calorie-obsessed in this episode. I assure you in real life I’m a delight. Just ask Lisa Lillien! (I’m pretty sure we’re BFFs now. I want us to be.) Also in this episode we found out a little more about Gary’s personal life! And we played a special foodcentric Just Me Or Everyone. (Click here to see the JMOEs we put up on the screen.) Plus your emails and the iTunes comment of the week. And topic sombrero!

Please enjoy this episode and rate it highly and tell your friends and ask them to subscribe or just go on their computers and subscribe for them. They’ll appreciate it and more importantly, I will appreciate it. (I know I say stuff like this often but it really does make a difference in keeping the podcast near the top of the charts on iTunes!)

Also please love the hell out of our sponsors! What sponsors you ask? You can get to all of them from the sidebar on this page but also you can do it here by going to AudibleAmazon (clear your cookies first and what the hell, make a bookmark!) and Endless.

ARIYNBF 108 with Kevin Pereira

Oh hi! On this super duper episode of Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend, Kevin Pereira of G4’s Attack of the Show stops by to talk about being a child of the internet (and how it leaves you desensitized to shocking images), his early days as a web impressario/nerd who rollerbladed yet dated a cheerleader, Multiplicity, He Said/She Said and Bring It On, daschunds, relationships, performance anxiety and myriad things which are dazzling and hilarious. And also drugs. Gary and I didn’t want the episode to end. We are both in love with Kevin. Also we are in love with Alfred Schulz who called in to do a newish/oldish segment called Things You Never Hear People Say. Also also: we took your calls.

Please enjoy this episode and rate it highly and tell your friends and ask them to subscribe or just go on their computers and subscribe for them. ARIYNBF 106 with Doug Benson

Comedian Doug Benson joins this episode of Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend to talk about how he and Alison met, costume parties, twitter, dating, deleted tweets (sort of), the advice he gave Alison when she was auditioning for The Adam Carolla Show, his podcast Doug Loves Movies, Fox News, Red Eye and other important stuff I can’t remember right now. We also took your calls and Larry Miller tried to ruin my show.

Please enjoy this episode and rate it highly and tell your friends and ask them to subscribe or just go on their computers and subscribe for them. ARIYNBF 105 with Dana Gould

On this episode of Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend, writer, comedian and podcast host Dana Gould joins the show to talk about his sexy flat feet and his out of date IMDB photo. We also talk about why it is he has three children, four dogs, two guinea pigs, a fish and a wife, how he met his wife and the way she refused to let him sabotage the relationship, relationships in general, being one of many children, panic attacks (he had one on stage!), sexy Volvos, unsexy Volvos, unsexy vulvas, semi-sexy uvulas, and what it was like writing for The Simpsons for many years. There’s no Huell Howser (you didn’t really think there would be, right?) but we open the phone lines and Dana Gould proves he’s awfully good at giving advice when a high school boy calls in wanting to know how to handle the fact that he’s openly gay, his boyfriend is in the closet and prom is coming up which he wants to attend, preferably with his boyfriend. There are other calls as well. I think we either fix or ruin someone’s marriage. Then I insult Gary. And other fun stuff!

Also I should come clean and tell you we didn’t really talk about vulvas or uvulas. Volvos, yes. And anal sex.

I am a liar!

ARIYNBF 104 with Riki Lindhome

On the fourth episode of Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend, actress, comedian, member of funny musical duo Garfunkel and Oates and fellow podcast host Riki Lindhome joins the show to talk about relationships, Valentine’s Day, the Nuvaring, the way you have to do fun stuff like go on trips and eat at nice restaurants even if you’re single, workaholism, setting boundaries, therapy, whether relationships make you less productive and the way Kinko’s doesn’t suck, which is nuts since everyone knows Kinko’s sucks. In fact as I sit here writing this I’m still baffled at the way an otherwise intelligent woman such as Riki Lindhome can insist Kinko’s is a pleasant place to go when it’s pretty much the opposite of a pleasant place to go. Have I mentioned I hate Kinko’s? God, I hate it. But Riki doesn’t.

Please enjoy this episode and give it a good rating and tell all your friends!

Also please love the hell out of our sponsors! What sponsors you ask? You can get to all of them from the sidebar on this page but also you can do it here by going to GameflyAmazonEndless and Adam and Eve (NSFW).
