    I hope this isn't
taken as a backhanded compliment, but I'll admit that I was not expecting this
interview to be so compelling. It ended up being so good! Not being too
familiar with Bobcat, I didn't realize he was close friends with Robin
Williams. His thoughts about Williams was so touching. Bobcat: Are there comedians without
self-loathing? Alison: They're probably not that good. Ha! The Barry Crimmins documentary sounds intriguing
and disturbing. I would've liked to hear
the story of how he and a girlfriend broke up while decorating the Christmas
tree. Alison's joke about not having
experienced divorce yet is what Daniel deserves for his intros.:) I'm addicted to podcasts and I binge listen
once I've found a new one. My new obsession/discovery is Professor Blastoff. It
has disbanded now, but there are 216 episodes to enjoy and I've gotten through
about 35 in the last month and this is all while keeping up with ARIYNBF, Sorry
Not Sorry and Straight Talk with Ross. I love the challenge and the idea that
I'll never run out of podcasts to listen to.:)
I can't understand how people can eat the same thing every day. I love
food way too much. I can completely
relate to looking forward to sleeping and then not being able to sleep once
it's bed time. I also have trouble falling asleep in bed. I fall asleep on the
couch and then wake up in the middle of the night and go to bed. I also get random phrases stuck in my head!!
I thought I was the only allegedly sane person with that problem. That would've
been a good JMOE if I had thought of it. Again, great! It was touching and funny.

Such a great episode. I lost my dad six months ago and hearing Bobcat discuss losing Robin Williams really hit home for me.

Thanks for the tip on Professor Blastoff – I will have to check it out. I love podcasts so much because not only are they entertaining, but it's like having company you don't have to clean up after. I'm learning to do tapestry weaving and I listen while I weave or do another craft like cross stitch. Way better than tv!

I'm so behind on my podcasts! Plus I'll be out of town for three weeks so I'm trying to get in all my listening fun while I can.

I really, really like Bobcat and have since I was a kiddo in the 80s watching him in movies and televised stand up. He is so talented and just seems like such a good guy.

I didn't know he was so close to Robin Williams. I really appreciated what he had to say about the difference between how the world experienced the loss of Robin and how his loved ones experienced it.

I agree! We got rid of cable about a year and a half ago and podcasts have made me not miss it at all. In fact, I was staying at a hotel with cable last week and I confirmed that I don't miss cable at all. After not finding anything interesting to watch, I just endeded up listening to podcasts in the end anyway.:)
