I had a friend that was on match.com, and he hated it. He probably sent 100s of emails to various women, and wasn’t capable of finding anyone that would be willing to date him. However, that guy had lots of baggage, and most women just wouldn’t want to deal with it. I think Alison, on the other hand, will be find that she is too much of a commodity, and will garner too much attention… mostly from the kinds of guys that she wouldn’t be interested in seeing. I personally think match.com or most dating sites are incapable of finding compatible person’s for the vast majority of their subscribers. I’d like to see some real facts as to how many people who interact online actually meet and date for more than one year.

I agree. Dating (as I recall) is difficult enough. I mean you ask a girl out and you figure if she says YES there must be something about you that she likes, or at least is interested in finding out more. In this case the poor slob wouldn’t know if he was viewed as an potential interesting date, or a good ratings date. Might as well just hire actors (one at a time) for the date and go for the laughs. I mean I’m a pretty confident guy, but being a broadcast date would be a little much. I know, I’m over thinking it again. :o|

Plus I’m a little confused. Seems like she’s made it pretty clear she’s happy the way she is. Forcing yourself to date, why, where’s the pressure here? I don’t think dating for dating’s sake is a good idea.

On a silly note; Who Alison chooses to go out with will have an impact on her audience. Remember when Julia Roberts married Lyle Lovette? All the guys were like “Wow I could have married Julia Roberts!” However very few thought “Hey I could have married Angelina Jolie!” Well maybe when Angelina was married to Billy Bob, but many fewer when she married Brad Pitt.

“Why not organize a Spring Break Fest in your abode and invite several rowdy male college students for interview in a segment of your dating show. You bring the beer and I’ll get the emt stretcher. “
