The Daily Alison (Where Rex Sorgatz answers tough questions in person!)

When I told my imaginary camera man that we were going on location to shoot someone he suggested we use some professional equipment and try to get both people in the shot. “Hell no!” I thundered. My viewers have come to expect a certain level of homespun ineptitude and I’ll be damned if I’m going to start changing it up now. Then I insisted he get a tight shot of my hairline and a sliver of one of my eyes.

Today’s guest is Rex Sorgatz whom I didn’t really properly introduce but he’s a writer, media personality and longtime blogger. It turns out he and I both used to write for Minneapolis City Pages and can spout useless-but-interesting critical theory. Plus, we have some mutual friends.

Fun fact: The second or third question in the Alison Rosen Getting To Know You Getting To Know Me Quiz is always “What’s your favorite condiment?” 100 percent of people polled have said mustard. That’s like four or five people!

That was a great VLOG….Rex was funny! I liked his comment about his dog's name…..I had a weiner dog named Tyrannosaurus Rex (T-Rex) Goodlove…..It was so funny to go in the Veterinarian's office and have them call his full name in the lobby!

    Thanks Ted!!

I agree with Ted. (I always agree with Ted.) At first, it looked as though you were interrogating Rex at the police station, as though he had been arrested, and you took the opportunity to corner him there. I also particularly liked when the camera was on you, showing your reactions rather than on your guest answering the question.

I'm totally in agreement with what Trapp said! Although, he had another off the wall question for you….Trapp asked, “would you ever consider doing one of thosesilly lip sync music VLOGS like Julia Allison does?

I agree with what Ted and Trapp. Great Vlog, and I really really REALLY like the different location for conducting this interview. I hope you can do future Vlogs at this location, but if not, outside is also ok… especially if it's raining a little bit. Just curious…. what are the “cloisters?” If I go to New York, do I need to see this? I'm a tourist!

    Westside!

Wait, so why were you trying to get into the library? I never liked libraries. I try to avoid that place as much as possible. I don't know how all my homies can study in the library during college like everybody else. I tried studying in there one night my first year and it was so packed it got intimidating, because everywhere I looked everyone was on adderall and shit. All I could think of when I looked around was, “What a bunch of (cheating) geeks!” – and so I bounced right after that and never returned. I've already burned my library card a long time ago, just to ensure that I never can return.

You really like mustard? That's sick. Ketchup is sick, too. So is relish. They all whack. The Prototype doesn't use any condiments, only condomints – mint flavored condoms. But not for food of course!
