Yes, only Seattle is rainy, but not rainy and HOT. NYC and summer; forget about it.

Is this your suggestion for the t-shirt logo contest?

It's been very rainy in the Northeast. I recently read this online:

According to Long Range (weather) Expert Joe Bastardi, areas from the northern Plains into the Northeast will have a “year without a summer.” The jet stream, which is suppressed abnormally south this spring, is also suppressing the number of thunderstorms that can form.

    Damn that jet stream!

Ditto up here in Maine. We had a monsoon a few days ago. All I want to do is take the boat out and go fishing, but I fear I'll spend all my time bailing the rain water out.

This is bad news. I have a load of outside projects lined up for the summer.

We've had a great summer so far for weather….I use the A/C but not like the typical $300 plus a month bill for the warm weather….I'm loving it! I actually like a summer rain….but not the humidity! You could just wear your dive gear around New York.

“Kinda like THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW except there will probably be no tsunamis, major floods, Jake Gyllenhal, and a musical score in the end that signifies that they've all made it through the storm which would be nice but ain't gonna happen…..”

I was born in Tacoma, WA, and every day was bleak, overcast, and monsoon season almost all year around. Glad my folks then moved to Mililani Town, Hawaii , after living there. Rain bites

Holy crap, what I'd give for that forecast….. it was 102 here today, and humid as hell.

If the rain comes they run and hide their heads
They might as well be dead
If the rain comes, if the rain comes

When the sun shines they slip into the shade
    And sip their lemonade
When the sun shines, when the sun shines

    Rain, I don't mind
    Shine, the weathers fine

the beatles just sang about it
