Also, just to paint the picture of my kind of sad but ok with me Friday night, Swingtown was so good that even though I was watching it all by myself I actually, at one pivotal point, began slapping my own thigh and saying ‘Oh my god oh my god oh my god!” I hesitate to say what it was, lest anyone else is watching this show and I spoil it. However I don’t think that’s the case so I’ll just say it was when Bonnie killed Juniper.

Ok fine, there’s no Bonnie and certainly no Juniper and no one has been killed.

But if there had been, I’m sure that would have been a big moment.

Swingtown must be a great show, but why would Bonnie kill a plant? She must really hate plants.

Last night I was yelling about U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps winning his 7th race (and 7th gold medal) by just .01 seconds. It was so close, I thought he lost. The swimmer from Serbia was a little ahead of him, but Phelps stretched at the end and amazingly touched the wall first. He has his last race tonight, trying to win a record 8th gold medal in a single Olympics.

It was a close competition on Thursday night too when the U.S. women won gold and silver in gymnastics. It came down to the very last rotation.

    Why does Bonnie hate plants?

Sorry Joe, but I am boycotting the Olympics because my daddy is a big anti-communist. I don’t want him to accuse me of aiding the enemy by watching the Olympics, so I’ve been looking for other things to do with my time. Maybe I should buy a plant.

Todd, I hear you. I just like cheering the U.S. athletes on in my own little, pathetic way. “Boo China! Yay Americans!” :o)

I’m watching the women’s marathon right now, which I find interesting because I used to run a lot (3 years high school cross country team). I admire people who can train that hard, usually in spike of a lot of injuries.
