Andy throwing me off Red Eye set

over Facts of Life trivia, naturally. (note: I still defy anyone to stump me on Facts of Life trivia! In fact, leave your question in the comments and I will attempt to answer it if you want. I’m like a Facts of Life magic 8-ball! Signs point to Eastland! Concentrate and ask Tootie! Cannot tell Jo now! And now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to write in my Never Get a Date Again journal)

Okay. True or False. George Clooney made appearance on The Facts of Life. If true, what was his role?

George the handyman! He’d just gotten back from Kuwait and his copy of The Kuwait Times was delivered to the girls next door.

Very impressive, I’m glad you knew the answer, cause I had no idea. At least what his role was. You got mad skillz. I’m afraid that’s all I got. I’ll have to give more thought to it.

Okay 2 questions. Can you name the artist or artists who sang the theme song.

    2. Can you name the main characters real names.

Alan Thicke wrote the theme song. I think the person who sang it was named Gloria something? Girls real names: Blair Warner, Joanna Marie Polniaczek, Dorothy Ramsey, Natalie Green.

Damn, I must be in that journal. Did you ever watch “Wonder Falls”? Some “Facts of Life”-ness about it but it certainly fell short.

Funny segment Alison. It reminds me of a friend who knows practically everything about the original Star Trek series. He can quote long segments of dialogue from every episode and can even do pretty good impressions of the characters. We used to “quiz” each other on ST knowledge, but I was no match for him.

I was reminiscing today looking at my old senior yr in high school year book. And looking at the fashion of the times brought back cool memories. My generation wore, Girbaud,Z.Cavaricci,Guess,Tommy Hilfiger,Vuarnet France,Polo,Umbro. As far as shoes, I think it was Air Jordans, and Reeboks, the ones you used to pump up the little thingie. And also Eastons. Anyway, just sharing fond memories. Peace,Love, and Soul Train.

This post goes out to my fans that are trying to figure my age. You know the ones that always ask: A/S/L. Good luck!

Alison, would the theme song singer be Gloria Loring? She was married to Thicke back then and a singer/soap actress. Also used to be on his talk show a lot.
Yes I used to play a lot of trivial pursuit. And watch late night TV.
My mind is filled with useless information.

    Alison,
I think your encyclopedic knowledge of the Facts of Life makes you even more attractive!
I lurve your work on Red Eye. I always look forward to seeing you on the show. The picture of you on the home page is beautiful—you look extra nice with your hair up. Beauty and a lacerating wit is such a compelling combo. (Okay, enough gushing)
Thanks for consistently cracking me up–I’ve needed it lately!
