Al’s Bug Out Bag, Greg’s Mom’s OJ Story, Alison’s Aggressive Bed Making

ARIYNBF BugOut Bags and OJ

Ornery Jones and Old Bones Jones make an appearance on this episode as well as Craftsy Joe, Moss the Sauce, Helldog and The Supervisor. Because we were talking about nicknames. Which led to a discussion of The Juice and the revelation that Greg’s Mom knew OJ Simpson in college. Plus my new drug, The Walking Dead, disaster preparedness, bed making, a round of Just Me Or Everyone and an adoptable dog named Marbles.

Download the episode from iTunes.

You probably need to buy the new ARIYNBF LOGO tshirt and get the Bumbershoot bonus episode!

Maybe Daniel can feel me on this. I basically can’t watch any fictional TV. I can only watch movies, and probably only a small subset of movies, but the batting average seems to be higher than with TV. It’s something about either the quality or the realism that TV lacks. Not to mention, the cinematography of TV is usually just stupid. So, just me or just me and Daniel. Apocalyptic movies are great because the drama is almost automatic…discuss.

About the Mormons and food storage…it’s a thing, right? Ah, as usual, the answer is “just listen for 30 more seconds and they’ll go into it.”

If you live or work in a tall building, a rope would be nice. It is just a matter of the intersection between the cost and inconvenience versus the probability and risk. I’m not sure why it seems like…ummmm…Californians I’ll say, tend to either have never considered it or want to make fun of it. The other side, the ummmm…North Easterners and Deep Southerners I’ll say…tend to go overboard with it, but really some canned goods gets you pretty close to the point of diminishing returns, but do as much or as little as floats your boat. It is unfortunate that so much of our lives is dictated by which team you want to be associated with. It isn’t really about apocalyptic extremes that make us want to avoid the anxiety of thinking about it, it is about all potentialities and starting with the simplest and cheapest preparations that work for the most and then building up from there. I got your back #Al.
