Tomorrow early afternoonish is great! I know you probably want to talk
off-the-cuff, but I’ve been meaning to talk to you about your poached
microwave egg problem, because I think I have a solution. Just an idea
for a talking point. But you know I’m open to talking about whatever.
In other news I kind of want to dispense with the word vlog because it’s raising too many questions about whether it’s pronounced vlog like blog or vlog like vee-log. But for some reason the word video doesn’t sound right either. But if I stop using the word vlog then how can I ask you guys to name my daily vlog? Language is so slippery!
Webcast, Webisode, Netcast, Podcast, Webinar, Vlogcast, Video podcast, Video Blogging, Video Logging? (vodcast or less commonly vidcast). The funny part is that “Video Blog, or Video Blogging” is more acceptable than “Video Log”, or “Video Logging”, even though, the B in Blog comes from the B in WeB Logging…..so, even when the web is dropped and V added, the B remains as a result of the “blogger” hype. Whatever you name it, make sure it ends in 2.0, and, that will be changing to 3.0 very soon. My favorite title so far for your show would be “Today in Alison” (like you have your own crazy world, plus the double entendre your so famous for.)
