Stephanie Wittels Wachs (Lemonada Media, Everything Is Horrible and Wonderful: A Tragicomic Memoir of Genius, Heroin, Love and Loss) is back with an excellent, heavily researched book about how to deal with the opiate crisis. It’s called Last Day: How to Stop Losing Our Loved Ones to the Opioid Crisis and expands upon the work she put into the first season of her podcast of the same name, inspired by the loss of her younger brother, beloved comedy writer Harris Wittels. We chat about her idyllic life on the central coast, pearl-clutching neighbors, injustice sensitivity, parenting, changes at her company Lemonada Media, marriage, losing parents and so much more.
