Kids are relentless and depleting. You may need something like Aderall. Someone who is not me got on amitryptilene that eliminated the sleep-maintenance insomnia that was a result of anxiety. Aderall that helped preserve brain energy throughout the day. It was like a magic bullet and reduced the depression that was a result of those underlying causes. And I have basically zero side-effects as far as I can tell.

What works for extroverts (and uncreatives) probably won’t work for you (i.e., exercise). What’s hard is that basically none of the advice given to me (don’t use the phone in bed, exercise, etc.) ever touched the problem…but then if advice is worthless why would you listen to me? Well, just the fact that getting the right meds at very reasonable doses made a big difference.

Ironically, I got the initial prescriptions from urgent care! When it worked and the prescription was running out then I got a psychiatrist for the prescriptions…I mean, my friend did, that is.
