Oh hi! I’ve been on some recent podcasts and I think you should listen to them if you enjoy things like that. One of them is Paul Gilmartin’s Mental Illness Happy Hour. I’m a big fan of his podcast and it was an honor to be asked to be a guest and I’m not even full of shit even though people who are full of shit say things like that all the time. And I was worried that I sounded inarticulate or overly something or other but I’ve received some very nice emails so thank you all very much.
But wait, then Paul Gilmartin was a guest on a podcast I hosted with the lovely Lynette Carolla! How’s that for synergy? Also, what does synergy mean? I don’t really want to know. At one point I knew but now I forget. This is not unlike a lot of theories and words I learned in college which I think I understood at the time but now I have no idea about. As opposed to say, calculus, which I struggled through at the time but suspect I might have an easier time with now. Or physics, which I never took in college but also think I might be able to understand now. I have no good reason to think I could understand these things now though, and it’s been a long time since I’ve done any kind of science or math, so I’m just going to change the subject now. Anyway, the podcast is going to change names and I’m kind of thinking of going with Alison Rosen Is Your New Best Friend which was the name of my Ustream show awhile ago but seems good as far as names go and people seem pretty into me naming it that. Should I?
And here I am talking about a rectal exam:

Just my opinion, but I don't think you should name it ARIYNBF. In my opinion, ARIYNBF was an appropriate title before because not many people may have known who Alison Rosen is. However, now, in my opinion, Alison Rosen is a superstar! In my opinion, her new podcast should have a new “superstar” type title. Also, in my opinion, a cool title might be something like, “The Overly Opinionated Alison Rosen” In any event, It will be nice if Alison has a new show on ACE Broadcasting. I also hope that Larry Miller is a frequent guest on Alison's show because I think there is a lot of chemistry between Alison and Larry. You can feel it over the internet…. in my opinion.
I like shorter titles, but I am super excited that the show is more yours and I loved the music.

You know, I've been meaning to bring up the following, and you talking about your “aggressive” rectal exam reminded me: how about instead of Adam mentioning something being a good name for “A's V” when something suggestive is said, how about “A's A”? I've always thought it sounded a little better.
Also, I'm a pretty big fan of the Mental Illness Happy Hour, glad you were on. It was a really great episode, and I can really relate to having been slighted but not even noticing it until later.
I was very much infatuated with a young lady who was a crazymaker, and she'd take these shots at me or do these bitchy things, but it wouldn't even occur to me until later. Also, she had a bit of a tendency to gaslight people about things- she would deny things that she said, or that happened, or pretend not to understand why someone was upset, etc. Predictably, the whole thing ended up being a mess, especially combined with my own cornucopia of issues.
Also, if you ever write a memoir, it should be called “Gaslit: The Story of Alison Rosen.” Or maybe GasLit.

Fear of raised voices, check, fear of making other people feel bad at the expense of my comfort, check, misplaced belief that my intellect was transformative to my boyfriends, check, etc, etc, check, check, and check.
